SUBJECT: Campus Food Pantry/Thanksgiving
This year the Campus Food Pantry will be doing its best to make sure all our students can celebrate a Happy Thanksgiving and provide support for families. We will not be sponsoring our traditional thanksgiving/holiday program with baskets of food and turkeys. We will be distributing food and offering gift cards to students whenever possible during the season. The Campus Food Pantry continues to serve students on campus every Tuesday from 1- 4pm. Students visiting the Pantry need to comply with our Covid protocols for coming onto campus. Currently, our pantry is not collecting food donations on campus to help maintain minimal traffic on campus and minimal contamination on boxes/cans. All food being distributed is comes directly from Long Island Cares.
Our Food Pantry continues to be very active and times are challenging for many families.
To show your support for our Campus Food Pantry Thanksgiving Drive this year, we are suggesting the following methods:
- Please donate to the Sr. Mary Ann Helping Hand Fund via the College Foundation https://sunysuffolk.thankyou4caring.org/donate
- Donate supermarket gift card(s) to be given out to students by mailing directly to: SCCC Campus Activities, Captree 110, 1001 Crooked Hill Road, Brentwood, NY 11717
- or contact Sr. Mary Ann Borrello personally for a private donation (631) 748-0548, cell phone
We THANK YOU for your tremendous support of our students.

Subject: Important Food Pantry Message
Dear Students,
We have made our food pantry items available on all three campuses. You can go to any of the three campuses to pick up food regardless of your home campus status on Tuesdays and Thursday between the hours of 1:00-3:00pm. Food pantry items have been pre-bagged or boxed with a combination of items including pasta or rice, canned fruit, canned vegetables, soup and proteins. A limited amount of frozen food is available as well.
To help maintain a safe environment, members of public safety will ask you what your intentions are. Just inform them you are picking up food from the Pantry Pick-Up areas. When you arrive at the pantry receiving area you will be instructed how to queue up. When it is your turn, a bag or box will be given to you, put them in your car, and drive away.
If you don't have a car, please communicate your arrival time to campus at the respective campus email's below. We will coordinate having your bags ready for you. When you arrive, if there is someone in front of you waiting for their packages, please maintain a safe social distance (six feet or more) between you and your neighbor.
Feel free to also contact us at the following email addresses for more information:
