Advanced Manufacturing Scholarship Fund

Manufacturing remains one of the core industries on Long Island and Suffolk County Community College is partnering with the manufacturing sector to advance career opportunities for highly trained, skilled and motivated students.
As Suffolk County Community College begins making plans to develop additional training programs to align the challenges in the manufacturing sector, we are creating a new Swiss CNC machining credential program with program curriculum developed in partnership with industry. We have been offered two deeply discounted swiss turning machines from Citizen and Starr to install in our machining lab.
A consortium of Long Island Manufacturers and the Advanced Manufacturing Training Center is reaching out to ask for your financial assistance to help make this effort possible.
In partnership with Robert Kufner, President and CEO of Designatronics and Ron Loveland, President of Summit Safety & Efficiency Solutions, ADDAPT Board member & HIA-LI Manufacturing Committee Co-Chair, who are diligently working to create a new pipeline of employees into the manufacturing CNC machining field. As the only training provider for CNC machining on Long Island, Suffolk County Community College’s Advanced Manufacturing Training Center has graduated over 600 students into the manufacturing sector. Now we’re committed to provide students with the most up-to-date skills training, and the credentials needed to enter this specialized workforce.
The Suffolk Community College Foundation, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation that solely supports the college, has established a mini-campaign to advance the manufacturing program with your assistance.
