Robert “Bob” Walther is a retired Director of Risk Management, for Astoria Federal Savings. A proud graduate from Suffolk County Community College, Class of 1970. Bob’s first leadership position at the college was as President of the Student Government Association in 1967. Bob was the Founding President of the college’s Alumni Association in 1979. He was elected as a member of the Foundation’s Board of Directors in 1994, serving as Chairman from 2004–2012.
Bob and his wife, Rosanna, met at Suffolk in 1967 and married in 1969. They have three children, Kimberly, Kelli, and Daniel. Rosanna, Kimberly and Daniel are '70, '91 and '01 Suffolk graduates.
