Michael J. Grant Jr.

Founded in 1957 by his parents Michael & Georgia, the Michael J. Grant Funeral Home is operated by Michael J. Grant, Jr., one of Long Island’s successful businessmen and distinguished hometown leaders whose efforts to advance economic and workforce development are lauded throughout the community. A Past President and a current officer of the Brentwood Chamber of Commerce, Michael Grant, Jr. continues to provide funerary and grief counseling services to generations of Long Islanders with compassion and care. Opening a second funeral home in Coram, Long Island in 1995, Michael expanded the family business which soon became a community resource, offering the same ideals and high standards set forth by his parents. Michael is also the proprietor of Simple Options, Inc., a family-owned and operated business that takes great pride providing caring, compassionate and affordable cremation, burial and memorial services throughout the tri-state region. He is a Past President of the Nassau-Suffolk Funeral Directors Association and remains actively involved to ensure the highest professional standards for this compassionate group of professionals serving every Long Island community.

A member of the Coram Civic Association, Michael Grant also serves as Chairman of the Brentwood St. Patrick’s Day Parade, Chair of the Memorial Day Parade Committee and Vice President of the Board of Directors of Pronto of Long Island, a community outreach center serving our most vulnerable children and families living in Brentwood, Bay Shore, Central Islip and our neighboring communities. Mr. Grant is also a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus, providing charitable support throughout his community. As First Vice President of the Suffolk Community College Foundation, Michael Grant is recognized as a generous and visionary leader who celebrates his late father’s legacy of service to Suffolk County as an elected legislator and namesake of the Michael J. Grant Campus of Suffolk County Community College in Brentwood, Long Island. Michael and his lovely wife Eileen are the proud parents of two sons - Michael and Kevin.

“Supporting Suffolk County Community College is a family tradition for the Grants”, explained Michael Grant, Jr. “We’re continuing my Dad’s legacy of service to our community by providing families with access and affordability at New York’s largest, most comprehensive multi-campus two year public institution of higher education.”
