Suffolk County Community College Alma Mater

Ever trusting in our vision,
Always urging us on to strive,
Suffolk College, we salute you,
And the dreams you’ve kept alive.

Darkened days when troubled voices neared,
Lonely hours when grim doubts appeared,
By our side to reaffirm our goals,
You held high the learning lantern,
Beamed to guide our souls.

Ever trusting in our vision,
Always urging us on to strive,
Suffolk College, we salute you,
And the dreams you’ve kept alive.

And the dreams you keep alive.

Listen to Our Alma Mater

An alma mater is written to provide a musical identity for an institution. Suffolk County Community College's alma mater was written during the College's early years by faculty member (ret.) Anthony R. Martone.

Unfortunately, over time, the original music was lost and the alma mater laid dormant. When the words were rediscovered, Dr. Richard Wright, Academic Chair and Associate Professor of Music on the Ammerman Campus, volunteered to compose new music.
