What is the Fund?
This student hardship fund is established to honor the Foley family’s dedication and commitment to Suffolk County Community College and to their shared belief that higher education is transformative for individuals and families. Professor Kevin Foley served the College and Suffolk’s students for over four decades as Coach of the Women’s Basketball Team, Suffolk Athletic Director and Professor of Health and Human Services. The fund also recognizes and honors the late Honorable John J. Foley, Kevin’s father and the longest serving Suffolk County Legislator who advocated tirelessly for access to healthcare and education. Legislator Foley served as a Trustee of Suffolk County Community College leaving his mark as a champion of access to excellence in higher education for generations of Suffolk’s students and families. The purpose of this hardship fund is to aid students experiencing critical financial need that threatens their continued enrollment at Suffolk County Community College.
Am I Eligible?
