5 Part Web Series - The Color or Change: A Historical Overview of the African American Experience

In direct response to student’s feedback expressing needs for exploring African American history, the Office of Multicultural Affairs and the committee of Improving Climate and Community of the Black and African American Student Success Task Force has developed a five part webinar series titled- The Color of Change: A Historical Overview of the African American Experience.
The webinar will be offered every Tuesday evening at 7 pm starting July 28th.
The following is a schedule of dates, topics, and presenters:
July 28th- The History of Policing - Prof. Paul Robinson
August 4th - The History of Protest in America- Prof. Norman Daniels
August 11th- The Economics of Racism- President of the Urban League of Long Island, Theresa Sanders
August 18th- How to Organize and A Call to Action- Community Protest Organizer, Shanequa Levin
August 25th- Empowerment in Healing- Retha Fernandez, Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer of Suffolk County
Suffolk County Community College Students and Alumni must register to get Zoom ID & password.
