The Suffolk Community College community has received the following invitation to a celebration honoring one of Suffolk Community College's own Prof. and Sr. Mary Ann Borrello. Not only is this a celebration honoring Sr. Borrello but all proceeds will go to the Helping Hand Fund which supports needy SCCC students.

Our dinner dance will be held at the Brentwood Country Club located at 100 Pennsylvania Avenue, Brentwood, New York. Price is $ 75.00 per person and includes a cocktail hour, followed by a full dinner and dancing. We hope we can count on you to join us.
Sr. Mary Ann celebrated her 60th Anniversary this year of her religious life and 45 years of outstanding service to Suffolk County Community College. She has contributed tirelessly and impacted thousands of lives through her work with our College Food Pantry. Each year she feeds several hundred families during their Thanksgiving food drive and year round food pantry. Suffolk Community College Foundation has established a new endowed scholarship in her name, Sister Mary Ann Borrello Endowed Helping Hand Fund. We hope this event will help support the College’s endeavors of this new scholarship.

For decades, Sister Mary Ann Borrello, a distinguished Professor of Sociology, has led efforts to stock the Brentwood Campus Food Pantry ensuring that students who hunger for knowledge will never go hungry for food and good nutrition. With Sister Mary Ann’s guidance, the Food Pantry provides sustenance for hundreds of students and their families annually, as well as nutritional options for members of the college community who simply can’t make ends meet financially and are in need for the family dinner table.
